Moscow Cautions Seoul Over Growing NATO Ties
Rudenko said Moscow is concerned about Seoul’s growing support for NATO, particularly its role in facilitating the supply of weapons to Kiev. “We consistently convey to the South Korean side through various channels Russia's principled position on the unacceptability of its involvement in direct or indirect transfers of lethal weapons to the Kiev regime,” he said.
“Otherwise, bilateral relations could be seriously damaged, and we will be forced to take retaliatory measures.”
He noted that while political dialogue and practical cooperation had significantly deteriorated under previous South Korean authorities, Russia had so far prevented a complete breakdown in relations.
Rudenko added that although the current South Korean administration has softened its rhetoric toward Moscow, positive statements have yet to be matched by tangible actions to restore trade and economic ties, as stated by reports.
